Jesus Is Freedom

Jesus is both freedom from the law AND The Way to fulfill the law. The Laws of God last forever. WITH Jesus, you have the Holy Spirit provided ability to live them. 

  1. In knowing Jesus, you know there are no other Gods, as he is the only one that died and rose again for you.  

 “You must not have any other god but me” 

  1. Jesus is a man, God is a spirit, the flesh is the Temple, therefore, to create an image of the invisible living God is impossible. We worship in Spirit. 

 “You must not make for yourself an idol of any kind or an image of anything in the heavens or on the earth or in the sea.” 

  1. In Knowing Jesus, it makes it simple to never want to say anything bad about him or use his name in a negative way. You know he is the only one who saved you, so how could you possibly curse the name of Jesus your savior.  

“You must not misuse the name of the Lord your God. The Lord will not let you go unpunished if you misuse his name” 

  1. In knowing Jesus, the relationship requires a continual spiritual dialogue. Life gets very busy and requires focus at work and family to be your best, so remember, always set aside time for Jesus, because he is there to give you rest, peace, wisdom, strength and all the items you need each day. Without Remembering this, you will get too tired and not be able to finish the walk.  

 “Remember to observe the Sabbath day by keeping it holy” 

  1. In being reborn through Jesus, you belong to God, not your earthly parents, so he simply used them to allow your birth, without God and the method of delivery, you would not be born. So respect them for that and do not hold grudges against them because they are also people struggling in this life.  

 “Honor your father and mother. Then you will live a long, full life in the land the Lord your God is giving you” 

  1. In Jesus, we are called to Love our Neighbor and walk away from confrontation, so any desires of hostility stay away far from you.  

 “You must not murder” 

  1. In Jesus, we are his Bride, married to him in love and rebirth based on forgiving us from our wrongdoing and providing a new life that allows us to not have worldly desires. He loves marriage and doesn’t like divorce at all. Marriage requires faithfulness.  

 “You must not commit adultery” 

  1. In Jesus, we know that we live through him and he provides for our needs allowing us to be at peace in knowing we will have everything we need when we need it.  

 “You must not steal” 

  1. In Jesus, we know that he loves us and he is the well for more love when we get tired. This way, we always treat people that the Lord brings into our presence with respect and care and have enough energy to Love them and help them if needed. This allows us to speak fondly of each other with the desire to assist one another in each situation.  

 “You must not testify falsely against your neighbor” 

  1. In Jesus, we feel his love, in faith and obedience, we experience the rewards of his word, therefore, we desire nothing except the Lords will in us and everything else will be provided as we continue in The Way.  

 “You must not covet your neighbor’s house. You must not covet your neighbor’s wife, male or female servant, ox or donkey, or anything else that belongs to your neighbor” 

 

“Don’t misunderstand why I have come. I did not come to abolish the law of Moses or the writings of the prophets. No, I came to accomplish their purpose. I tell you the truth, until heaven and earth disappear, not even the smallest detail of God’s law will disappear until its purpose is achieved. So if you ignore the least commandment and teach others to do the same, you will be called the least in the Kingdom of Heaven. But anyone who obeys God’s laws and teaches them will be called great in the Kingdom of Heaven.”  

Matthew 5:17-19   

 

Another way to say this, is that the new life with Jesus and his Holy Spirit provide access to a never-ending supply of love, making the desires of God achievable. The original laws given to Moses create both an awareness to sin and outline how-to live-in peace and love without conflict, allowing for the Lord’s prayer of bringing heaven to earth. 

Without Jesus and the Holy Spirit, providing the power and love within, you have a set of rules making you aware of what not to do, but not having the resources to do them. In Jesus, the love that he pours into your new spirit, bring about an internal change, making love the desired response in all matters, which ends the grip that the knowledge of good and evil  / (sin) / The Law -  has on your first natural birth.  

This occurs by the renewing of your mind and the changing of your heart, which only Jesus can do.
