Spiritual Perfection

Spiritual Perfection

“Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.”

ROMANS 12:2

God is a Spirit. God is Love. To live in the Spirit is to live in this life as Lord Jesus. Not to be him, but to be rewarded in the Heavenly Spirit given unto you by him. He lives in us by our faith in allowing him to makeover our complete life.

As you are made over, the ways of yesterday’s human life are over and the Lord Jesus heavenly ways begin. Accept Jesus in all situations and his heavenly love and wisdom will permeate into every aspect of each breath you take. He is Lord of your life. King of Kings.

Through the power of The Holy Spirit from Jesus, we are called to live through him. We are to allow God's life to be lived in us with power and wisdom from heaven, not to act Godly as humans. Jesus says to be perfect as your heavenly father is perfect. Therefore, through Jesus and his Spirit, we can be perfect for God such that his will is made complete in us as it was in him. Jesus is the Lord.

To be perfect for God is to Love your neighbor and to Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and then put his love in action for others such that he is seen in you.

“If you are kind only to your friends, how are you different from anyone else? Even pagans do that. But you are to be perfect, even as your Father in heaven is perfect.” Matthew 5:47-48

“But if you look carefully into the perfect law that sets you free, and if you do what it says and don’t forget what you heard, then God will bless you for doing it.” James 1:25

“When you obey my commandments, you remain in my love, just as I obey my Father’s commandments and remain in his love. I have told you these things so that you will be filled with my joy. Yes, your joy will overflow! This is my commandment: Love each other in the same way I have loved you.” John 15:10-12

“And you must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, all your mind, and all your strength.’ The second is equally important: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ No other commandment is greater than these.” Mark 12:30-31
