Letting Go

Letting Go

“For you died to this life, and your real life is hidden with Christ in God.”

COLOSSIANS 3:3

People often get caught up in labels - identifications with something or someone in the world. This is precisely what the Lord does not want his children doing. He wants all his children to be completely identified with Jesus Christ.

As children of God - Jesus is our God - It is only through him in which we even have life. In getting rightly related to Jesus - he fills you with his Holy Spirit - for you are no longer natural - but supernatural - you are eternal with the light of Christ. He is Lord - He is God. Jesus is the King of the world.

When the Lord works in you - evidence of his work is that you will begin to see cracks - falsehoods - failings in the world. The breaking down of what you believed in life causes panic within yourself of letting go of what is known - even when it is failing. He is drawing you to himself. The Lord desires you to set aside your life for him.

The Lord does not call us to be the best of ourselves. The Lord calls us to seek his will to be done in us - such that his will comes out of us. A person’s natural best does not measure up to the work needed for the kingdom of heaven. It is Christ in you that has the power and ability to save souls and change the world.

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take.” Proverbs 3:5-6

“But I press on to possess that perfection for which Christ Jesus first possessed me. No, dear brothers and sisters, I have not achieved it, but I focus on this one thing: Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead, I press on to reach the end of the race and receive the heavenly prize for which God, through Christ Jesus, is calling us.” Philippians 3:12-14

“Avoid all perverse talk; stay away from corrupt speech. Look straight ahead, and fix your eyes on what lies before you. Mark out a straight path for your feet; stay on the safe path. Don’t get sidetracked; keep your feet from following evil.” Proverbs 4:24-27
