Heavenly Calm

"But when I am afraid, I will put my trust in you. I praise God for what he has promised. I trust in God, so why should I be afraid?"

PSALM 56:3-4

The Lords plan on your life is so perfect that it is truly unfathomable. Life in obedience to God is a process that takes time. It is only in absolute abandonment to Christ that his peace is brought on you. It is in the difficulty of shedding old beliefs and habits that new ones - new thoughts - goals and dreams will be entered into you from the Holy Spirit.

Allow the Spirit of God to descend upon you through your obedience to Jesus. It is this heavenly peace in difficult times that allow others to see the Lord's presence and peace in your life.

Peace belongs to the Lord, and it accompanies him everywhere. Personal decisions without the Lord bring forth anxiety, fear, confusion and discouragement. The Holy Spirit will guide all of your decisions through prayer and faith in Christ. Peace accompanies the Lord and is given to you by The Holy Spirit to comfort you so that you know he is there with you as you have chosen to walk his way.

So be not in a hurry to get busy making decisions without the Lord as it is he himself that has prepared your path and is waiting for you to seek his purpose in you. There is no fear in Christ only fear of disobedience to God - but rather peace and a promise of hope and a future.

“For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.” Jeremiah 29:11

“Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand.” Philippians 4:6-7

“I pray that God, the source of hope, will fill you completely with joy and peace because you trust in him. Then you will overflow with confident hope through the power of the Holy Spirit.” Romans 15:13
