He Is Greater

"Don’t be selfish; don’t try to impress others. Be humble, thinking of others as better than yourselves."

PHILIPPIANS 2:3

The Way for God is to create a new you in him. To create something new - you must shed the old - old thoughts, feelings, hobbies, interests - finances. To create a brand new you in Jesus - all of the old you must pass away through faith and obedience to the Lord.

He will make his will known to you. He will share with you his path - through obedience you will walk his path and through this walk all is made new in the truth of Jesus Christ. There is nothing spiritual about money as a goal. Fall hard after Jesus - he is the only Truth.

The great task is to remove all self-identification from you such that you only identify with the life of Jesus Christ. Any person that desires to be a disciple of Christ - must deny themself. In choosing to be a disciple of Christ - you are choosing a life for which you must deny yourself - self desires.

The typical life for man is of no benefit to God as it is self-serving and leads to death. To say Jesus is Lord and not love your neighbor is not doing the Lords will. To be crucified in the flesh is to allow yourself to end your natural line of living and decision making and turn your heart and mind over to the Holy Spirit of Christ. The Holy Spirit is your advocate and will help you in all situations - speaking - teaching - guiding - directing and loving always.
