Filling the Hole

Filling the Hole

"He took some bread and gave thanks to God for it. Then he broke it in pieces and gave it to the disciples, saying, “This is my body, which is given for you. Do this in remembrance of me.” After supper he took another cup of wine and said, “This cup is the new covenant between God and his people—an agreement confirmed with my blood, which is poured out as a sacrifice for you."

LUKE 22:19-20

God makes you over in the Spirit at your choosing. In this make over, God makes you whole in his eyes - his purpose for all his children is to be a light - to be a pure bright light in the Spirit of Jesus Christ. This light is for the benefit of those in the dark - to be a beacon of hope and love in the spirit of Christ Jesus.

The light that shines in you gets brighter and brighter the closer you walk in obedience with the Lord. His wish is for you to love him as you should love your heavenly father. He wants to raise you in the Spirit of Jesus Christ.

We are to be broken bread for Christ and poured out wine for his namesake. To be a light for God - to be used for only his purpose - God must break your human spirit such that you are obedient to his Holy Spirit. You cannot mind two masters. We are the bread to be broken for the molding purpose of the most high.

Wine is not created without first squeezing the grapes for juice. We are the grapes to be squeezed in obedience to the Word of God. Our Father in heaven desires us to be filled with a new wine - the wine of the spirit of Christ.

“When we bless the cup at the Lord’s Table, aren’t we sharing in the blood of Christ? And when we break the bread, aren’t we sharing in the body of Christ? And though we are many, we all eat from one loaf of bread, showing that we are one body.” 1 Corinthians 10:16-17

“Work hard to show the results of your salvation, obeying God with deep reverence and fear. For God is working in you, giving you the desire and the power to do what pleases him.” Philippians 2:12-13

“All of you together are Christ’s body, and each of you is a part of it.” 1 Corinthians 12:27

“No one lights a lamp and then puts it under a basket. Instead, a lamp is placed on a stand, where it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your good deeds shine out for all to see, so that everyone will praise your heavenly Father.” Matthew 5:15-16
