Experience Love

"Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends."

JOHN 15:13

We often get an image of Jesus as a crucified King, but the truth is he is the Risen Lord. He is alive today as he was the day he went to the cross. He is not gone. He is in heaven, and in his place here on earth, he has provided all of us access to his living Holy Spirit. His dwelling place is inside you by personal choice. 

The Lord teaches today. He is love and seeks to provide you with his powerful counsel that is always true and will always lead you correctly beyond your own understanding. 

Those baptized into Jesus are all to be celebrated. As faith in the risen Lord alone is the entry ticket to heaven. However, there are many other gifts and blessings that the Lord desires to provide in this life as well. These gifts and blessings occur through faith in the word and obedience to Jesus. This builds faith and increases The Holy Spirit inside of you. This allows the God of all creation to speak more and more clearly to you and he is always wanting to speak to you. 

When you pursue Jesus with all of your heart, strength, soul and mind, he will reveal himself to you. When this happens, there is nothing else worth pursuing except the will of the one who is God. You will not personally meet the Lord by proxy or through a strong believer, but rather by personal choice and personal faith and personal pursuit. 

“Jesus shouted to the crowds, “If you trust me, you are trusting not only me, but also God who sent me. For when you see me, you are seeing the one who sent me.” John 12:44-45 

“Satan, who is the god of this world, has blinded the minds of those who don’t believe. They are unable to see the glorious light of the Good News. They don’t understand this message about the glory of Christ, who is the exact likeness of God.” 2 Corinthians 4:4 

“Christ suffered for our sins once for all time. He never sinned, but he died for sinners to bring you safely home to God. He suffered physical death, but he was raised to life in the Spirit.” 1 Peter 3:18 

“If you openly declare that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.” Romans 10:9 

“When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all truth. He will not speak on his own but will tell you what he has heard. He will tell you about the future.” John 16:13
