"Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding."
PROVERBS 3:5
When you find yourself repeating a situation that is unpleasant or you are not responding out of your good character, seek the Lord's will to reveal a new way to pass through each moment so that you do not create a repeatable negative pattern. The Holy Spirit will reveal a new way either by talking to you in your spirit about changing a behavioral pattern or he will provide his words to speak in the moment you need them.
The Lord desires to be seen in you. He seeks your body as a dwelling place for his perfect spirit so that he may live in you, guiding you, teaching you, and loving you. If any outward disposition of yours does not allow Jesus to be seen in you, the Lord is continuing to do his work to mold you.
The Lord never hides the truth, it is more simply put that until we get into a proper spiritual relationship with him, we do not understand him and his ways, therefore his word is difficult to interpret. We must not make our minds up about a doctrine of God but rather rightly commit ourselves to a personal spiritual relationship with the risen Lord Jesus Christ. So, no longer rest only on your own skill or understanding based on past experiences, but rather seek God's will in each next moment.
“My old self has been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me.” Galatians 2:20
“This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun!” 2 Corinthians 5:17
“And because you belong to him, the power of the life-giving Spirit has freed you from the power of sin that leads to death.” Romans 8:2
“The Spirit of God, who raised Jesus from the dead, lives in you. And just as God raised Christ Jesus from the dead, he will give life to your mortal bodies by this same Spirit living within you.” Romans 8:11
