Being Holy

Being Holy

"Work at living in peace with everyone, and work at living a holy life, for those who are not holy will not see the Lord.”

HEBREWS 12:14

The world and its many visions create a distorted view of life - and its pursuit of happiness. The Lord says we are to pursue Holiness. In this search for Holiness - you create a oneness with the Lord allowing your body, mind and spirit to be sanctified by Jesus Christ.

In such pursuits and achievements of Holiness - Happiness is found - Heavenly peace and divine love will pour from you. This gift is from the Lord - Accept Jesus and his pure Spirit of heavenly virtues and be Holy as the Lord created us to be.

Jesus came to show us how to live for God. He showed us how to live as Saints of the Most High God for the purpose of fulfilling his will. We are called specifically to be Holy because he is Holy. For the Holy Spirit to dwell in you - you must turn from the sinful misguided ways of the world and turn to Jesus in all things. He is Holy - you are not Holy without Christ being born again from within you.

Jesus removed the barrier between us and God. To be Holy is not to be complacent. To be Holy is not to mutter in displeasure. To be Holy is not to grumble about a circumstance. To be Holy is to know that God has placed you where you are with intention. To be Holy is to be loving. To be Holy is to follow Jesus.

Holiness is achieved through Jesus Christ - by accepting his truth, allowing his life to be lived in you through The Holy Spirit and living purposely for God with the intention of allowing his love to be seen in you through loving others.

“Because we have these promises, dear friends, let us cleanse ourselves from everything that can defile our body or spirit. And let us work toward complete holiness because we fear God.” 2 Corinthians 7:1

“God has called us to live holy lives, not impure lives. Therefore, anyone who refuses to live by these rules is not disobeying human teaching but is rejecting God, who gives his Holy Spirit to you.” 1 Thessalonians 4:7-8

“So you must live as God’s obedient children. Don’t slip back into your old ways of living to satisfy your own desires. You didn’t know any better then. But now you must be holy in everything you do, just as God who chose you is holy.” 1 Peter 1:14-15

“Do everything without complaining and arguing, so that no one can criticize you. Live clean, innocent lives as children of God, shining like bright lights in a world full of crooked and perverse people.” Philippians 2:14-15
