Being A Blessing

Being A Blessing

"Give freely and become more wealthy; be stingy and lose everything. The generous will prosper; those who refresh others will themselves be refreshed."

PROVERBS 11:24-25

When the Lord gives you a blessing of any sort, know the first fruits belong to the Lord. Take not for yourself the blessing in haste and stubbornness of thought. Look at the heavens, say thank you and give unto those in such that the blessing of the Lord may be given to others through you.

This is how living waters of truth, love and grace abound through you by the Spirit of Jesus Christ. Be fooled not by the world and the false desires you seek. You have eternity in the Lord Jesus.

The mighty men of David risked their own lives for the sake of providing water to their King. David saw the Lord had allowed his men to be successful for his sake, therefore the water retrieved he could not drink but pour out before God in thanks. It is God who is honored in this - and those who bear witness to another's devotion to God has their gaze brought up to heaven as well.

Jesus is the power - we are the tool to be used for his perfection and love purpose. Self-indulgence in the Blessing will not bring forth new joy - but rather bitterness. It is for the Glory of God that the blessing is given - if the blessing does not pass through you - how can you be a river of living water that never ceases to flow?

“Honor the Lord with your wealth and with the best part of everything you produce. Then he will fill your barns with grain, and your vats will overflow with good wine.” Proverbs 3:9-10

“Give, and you will receive. Your gift will return to you in full—pressed down, shaken together to make room for more, running over, and poured into your lap. The amount you give will determine the amount you get back.” Luke 6:38

“If you help the poor, you are lending to the Lord— and he will repay you!” Proverbs 19:17

“Remember this—a farmer who plants only a few seeds will get a small crop. But the one who plants generously will get a generous crop. You must each decide in your heart how much to give. And don’t give reluctantly or in response to pressure. “For God loves a person who gives cheerfully.” And God will generously provide all you need. Then you will always have everything you need and plenty left over to share with others.” 2 Corinthians 9:6-8
