Accepting Peace

Accepting Peace

"I have told you all this so that you may have peace in me. Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world."

JOHN 16:13

Jesus knows the troubles, hardships and perils of this world. He lived it, conquered it and allows us to live with him in his peace. He did not come to say - "Here, I conquered all - now you do it." No - He conquered life so we too can live.

Forsake this world and give your life to Jesus. He will renew your heart and mind into his heavenly comforts bringing peace and love. Through Jesus alone can we only ever truly say, "Let your heart not be troubled."

Jesus alone is the well for peace. To receive his peace, you must turn to him and seek his amazing grace. There are times where ignorance on a matter may allow temporary peace, but at once you are no longer ignorant a level of uneasiness and disturbance will rise from within. If there is a thing that keeps you from turning to the face of Jesus in the immediate time of distress, seek forgiveness from God. Pray to him and allow the words of your heart to be spoken to him. God is love and desires you to be made whole in him.

Relying on your own understanding to get through worry will not provide the peace of Christ. It is when you come unto the Lord Jesus Christ that you no longer worry because your face is set to him and he will prepare your way.

“Therefore, since we have been made right in God’s sight by faith, we have peace with God because of what Jesus Christ our Lord has done for us.” Romans 5:1

“And let the peace that comes from Christ rule in your hearts. For as members of one body you are called to live in peace.” Colossians 3:15

“Don’t let your hearts be troubled.” John 14:1

Again he said, “Peace be with you. As the Father has sent me, so I am sending you.” John 20:21
