"Remember, dear brothers and sisters, that few of you were wise in the world’s eyes or powerful or wealthy when God called you. Instead, God chose things the world considers foolish in order to shame those who think they are wise. And he chose things that are powerless to shame those who are powerful."
1 CORINTHIANS 1:26-27
Through embarrassment and discomfort you are brought out of yourself - meaning - you set yourself to the side intentionally to let the light and word of God shine through you. It is in the humbleness you are brought into the state of molding - the spirit shapes you and breaks off what is of no use in the kingdom and renews you into God's truth.
Through this reconciliation to the spirit, you see truth - you see Jesus in everything. The truth of the cross is redemption - be not sad in your disgrace - but happy the Lord loves you to bring you into his perfect glory.
There are times in which the Lord desires you all to himself so that he can teach you. It is in these times in the lonely darkness where the Lord will reveal his ways and his truth. Often - the Lords truth comes to you in a way that will instantly make you realize you have not been doing the Lords will in a particular thing.
Embarrassment follows when being corrected by God. To honor Jesus, be willing to be disciplined for truth and edification. It is the act of changing your ways to his way and being willing to speak to all people and all nations to share the truth of King Jesus - to speak of his way - the only way to heaven that builds the Holy Spirit of power within.
“But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong. God chose the lowly things of this world and the despised things—and the things that are not—to nullify the things that are, so that no one may boast before him.” 1 Corinthians 1:27-29
“Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time. Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.” 1 Peter 5:6-7
“Anyone who loves their life will lose it, while anyone who hates their life in this world will keep it for eternal life. Whoever serves me must follow me; and where I am, my servant also will be. My Father will honor the one who serves me.” John 12:25-26
“No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it.” Hebrews 12:11
“All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.” 2 Timothy 3:16-17
