Families need help in every location that you go. We ALL want better neighborhoods, schools, business, responsible people, and safe outdoor spaces.
During the past 15 years, the number of people living in poverty in Dallas increased by 42%, outpacing the city’s population growth. Dallas’ poverty rate in 2017 was 18.5%, higher than the national average of 13.4%. Today, about 21% of Hispanic and Black residents (230,417 individuals) live below the poverty line. More than 28% of all children live in poverty in Dallas, with notable differences based on race—the Child Poverty indicator shows nearly 40% of Black children live in poverty, about three times the percentage of White children.
We are simply a collection of people living here together. Our task is to help one another the best we can so that we may ALL enjoy the benefits of CREATING good future neighbors for each other.
WE THE PEOPLE are the ones that are assigned to love our neighbors. Helping people is how we develop better people, so that they are also willing to help others.
