Do Not Lose Heart

Do Not Lose Heart

“That is why we never give up. Though our bodies are dying, our spirits are being renewed every day. For our present troubles are small and won’t last very long. Yet they produce for us a glory that vastly outweighs them and will last forever!”

2 CORINTHIANS 4:16-17

Let not your fellowship with the Spirit be broken by human weakness. You are frail. God is strong. As the Lord sanctifies you - things in your life will change - some changes will seem like punishments. Being completely sanctified by the Spirit is the willingness to take the journey to the unknown with God.

He will work changes in your heart and mind such that you will be no more, and the Spirit of God will magnify through your Temple. Sanctification often times means the loss of your current worldly desires. Fear not, the treasures of heaven have already been given.

Sanctification comes from God, and it falls on the line of his image and his way for you. You cannot sanctify yourself as you are not your creator, and you cannot fathom the ways of the one who made you. The Lord calls you to be a light - to be his light -you must shine brightly and be clean before the Lord.

Do not sulk before the Lord in discontent with the willing thought that Jesus cannot do in you what he said he will. The spirit of God can do all things in you perfectly as you have faith in him to be patient in being molded. The Lord does not desire you to seek your own way and go it alone - but rather to "follow me" and be my disciple. Trust in the truth of Jesus.

“And have you forgotten the encouraging words God spoke to you as his children? He said, “My child, don’t make light of the Lord’s discipline, and don’t give up when he corrects you.” Hebrews 12:5

“Keep watch and pray, so that you will not give in to temptation. For the spirit is willing, but the body is weak!” Matthew 26:41

“The sinful nature wants to do evil, which is just the opposite of what the Spirit wants. And the Spirit gives us desires that are the opposite of what the sinful nature desires. These two forces are constantly fighting each other, so you are not free to carry out your good intentions.” Galatians 5:17

“So humble yourselves before God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.” James 4:7
