New Believers

These are some encouraging truths written in the Bible to start you on the journey of following King Jesus.

There are (3) things necessary to begin a new life with Jesus.

  1. Ask Jesus to come into your heart and accept him as Lord and Savior by Faith.
  2. Ask Jesus for the forgiveness of your sins through a repentant heart.
  3. Be obedient to God - Obedience to God occurs through the Holy Spirit and a repentant heart and is the evidence of a new life through Jesus. Obedience to God is done by doing the two things Jesus says.
    1. Love the Lord with all of heart, soul and mind.
    2. Love your Neighbor as yourself.

“For this is how God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life." John 3:16

"Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding.
Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take." Proverbs 3:5-6

"God saved you by his grace when you believed. And you can’t take credit for this; it is a gift from God. Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done, so none of us can boast about it. For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago." Ephesians 2:8-10

"This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun!" 2 Corinthians 5:17

"But those who trust in the Lord will find new strength. They will soar high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint." Isaiah 40:31

"For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope." Jeremiah 29:11
